So What's a Quarter Line?
In the horse world, the walls of an arena are a safe and comfortable space to ride. They guide where you are going and the horse doesn't have to think too hard about their direction. When you ride the quarter line, you are essentially asking the horse to take a few steps off the wall. This is a little more challenging and can help grow a horse's balance and confidence. It opens up opportunity for other learning as well as growth in communication. A horse and rider are a team. They work best together when they take the time to explore and understand each other's strength and weaknesses.

"That's nice Hannah, but how does this apply me?" How people operate and interact with the world is impacted by their window of tolerance for stressors or challenges. As a therapist, my goal is to support you in stepping outside of your comfort zone and working in your stretch zone. This is where change happens and helps our window of tolerance grow! When we grow our window of tolerance we are less likely to enter our stress zone when life inevitably bucks us off from time to time. We are more capable of maintaining our balance and staying straight on our path towards our goals when we practice the hard stuff. Not to mention the freedom that comes from not being confined to the wall. The good news is you don't have to do this alone! We too, are a team.

My Philosophy
You are unique and so should be your therapy. I utilize an integrative approach to discover together what is best for you! We will look at thoughts and behaviors that are in the way of your personal growth and self-acceptance. We will work to identify and focus on your strengths, change unhealthy thinking patterns, tackle challenging decisions, maintain healthy relationships, cope with difficult realities, and heal from emotional pain.

Seek Change.
Find Freedom.
